August 7-8, 2024: Police Investigation and Search

Following a tip from his wife, the police began investigating Dr. Aejaz and the alleged incidents on August 7, 2024. The next day, law enforcement conducted a search of his residence, seizing numerous devices, including four cell phones, six computers, and 15 storage drives. 

Among these, investigators discovered a hard drive containing approximately 13,000 videos. The footage reportedly showed minors, young women, and others in vulnerable situations, including recordings taken in changing rooms, bathrooms, and hospital rooms.

August 13, 2024: Formal Charges and Court Appearance

Dr. Aejaz was formally charged on August 13, 2024, and appeared in court at the 52-3 District Court in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He faced multiple charges, including allegations of capturing explicit recordings using hidden cameras and committing sexual assaults. 

Due to the severity of the accusations and the evidence gathered, the judge set Dr. Aejaz’s bail at $2 million, signaling the gravity of the situation and the potential risk to the public.

August 20, 2024: Oakland County Sheriff’s Update

On August 20, 2024, the Oakland County Sheriff held a news conference to provide an update on the investigation. Officials revealed the discovery of hundreds of explicit images and videos spanning several years. The footage included recordings of young women and minors in private spaces like changing rooms and bathrooms. 

Additionally, investigators uncovered videos allegedly showing Dr. Aejaz engaging in sexual assaults on unconscious hospital patients in hospital rooms. Authorities are still determining whether this content was shared with others, which could lead to further legal ramifications.

August 26, 2024: Court Hearing and Ongoing Investigation

Dr. Aejaz attended a court hearing via video conference on August 26, 2024. While his $2 million bond and its conditions remained unchanged, the investigation continued to unfold. With thousands of videos yet to be reviewed, authorities anticipate identifying additional victims and uncovering more details about the extent of his alleged abuses. His next court appearance was scheduled for September 16, 2024.
